Have you seen “The Greatest Showman” yet? If not, I highly recommend finding someone who likes musicals and going to see it while it is still in theaters. My daughter and I have already seen it twice (we may or may not be planning to see it again!) It is really such a moving story about inclusion, authenticity and loving yourself exactly as you are. It seems such a poignant message in the age of social media comparison and the constant barrage of “us vs. them” messages that swirl around our society. Every person longs for validation and acceptance and it is so important that we teach our children to practice compassion and tolerance before the world can intrude with negativity and divisiveness.

So, it is in this spirit that I decided to dedicate this week’s outfits to one of the songs in “The Greatest Showman.” This is Me just won a Golden Globe for best original song and it is performed by the amazing Keala Settle. It was beautiful when I first heard it in the theater, but when I came home after the movie and started down the rabbit hole of Google research, I found this on Youtube. OH MY GOSH!! Is it not one of the most emotional and inspiring things you have ever seen?!? I smiled, I cried, I watched it 37,000 times! Simply amazing.

Starting this week, I have decided to combine my outfit inspiration and the shopping links in one blog post. I think it makes the information more cohesive and easier to implement in your own life. If you see something that you want to add to your closet to make one of these looks, you can click the link to shop it directly and check that off the list!

Monday

Coat: Similar | Top: Similar & Similar | Jeans: Levi’s | Boots: Similar & Similar | Bag: Gucci & Similar | Earrings: Baublebar

Feel Like a Million Bucks:

Every woman should own a classic black wool coat that can be dressed up or down depending upon the occasion. This is one that I have had for many years, but I found the most amazing option at H&M for less than $50! I kept the rest of my outfit simple and neutral with an easy striped long sleeve tee and my favorite gray booties. This look is a throw on and go that will keep you warm and comfortable during chilly winter months.

Where to Wear:

Running Errands, Volunteering at school, Meeting with teacher, Lunch with friends, Movie theater, Shopping

Make it Unique:

If you have a gray wool coat, create an amazing monochromatic look by topping the rest of the look with it. You could also switch out my tee for a black and white striped shirt if you already have that in your closet.

Tuesday

Sweater: Similar & Similar | Cami: Similar & Similar | Jeans: Levi’s | Boots: Steve Madden | Bag: Gucci | Earrings: Baublebar

Feel Like a Million Bucks:

There is nothing I love more than a soft, cozy cardigan in the winter! I love the juxtaposition of the white cardigan with the moody, dark wine of this cami. I have found amazing pieces for you to replicate this outfit and most of them are under $100. If you don’t own a pair of leopard shoes yet, I highly recommend these boots. They are really easy to walk in, look great with jeans and skirts, and they are the perfect statement piece to make an outfit pop! I also made sure to link a few handbags that would be more affordable substitutions for my Gucci bag.

Where to Wear:

Shopping, Lunch with friends, Volunteering at school, Meeting with teacher, Client meeting

Make it Unique:

You can trade out my leopard boots for leopard ballet flats or mules. To easily make this look dressier for work meetings, switch out the white cardigan for a white blazer and leopard heels.

Wednesday

Sweater: Similar & Similar | Leggings: Spanx | Boots: Stuart Weitzman | Bag: Gucci | Earrings: Baublebar

Feel Like a Million Bucks:

This sweater is actually super old, but I absolutely love the long length that allows me to comfortably wear it with leggings. These Spanx leggings are the best pair I have ever owned, with a high waist and amazingly soft material. They even made it onto my Favorite Things of 2017 list! I linked several dupes for my Gucci bag and Stuart Weitzman boots so that you can fit this look into any budget! Seriously, one of the bags that I linked is $12.99!

Where to Wear:

Work meeting, Shopping, Thanksgiving Meal, Meeting with teacher, Date night, Lunch with friends

Make it Unique:

If heels are not your thing, be sure to invest in a pair of flat over the knee boots instead. I have linked one of my favorite pairs and they are truly made for walking long distances. This is also a great base layer for adding a leather jacket or heavier winter coat if necessary.

Thursday

Jacket: Anthropologie | Blouse: Express | Jeans: Levi’s | Shoes: Similar & Similar | Bag: Gucci | Earrings: Baublebar

Feel Like a Million Bucks:

It was love at first sight for me with this white fuzzy jacket! I have really been embracing winter white this season and I love the subtle shimmer and roomy fit of this particular jacket. I decided to keep it really feminine for this look with a blush pink blouse and my favorite embellished kitten heels. My exact shoes are older from Zara, but I found several pairs that are so cute at amazing prices!

Where to Wear:

Date night, Girl’s night out, Shopping, Lunch with friends

Make it Unique:

Since I bought this jacket, I have worn this look with my tan ankle boots for colder weather and it is a great alternative for days with kitten heels just won’t work. You could also wear a pair of pink tennis shoes for a casual contrast to the frilly white fur.

Friday

Coat: Similar & Similar | Top: Bardot | Skirt: Similar | Boots: Similar | Tights: Hue | Bag: Gucci | Earrings: Baublebar

Feel Like a Million Bucks:

How can you go wrong with leopard and leather combined in one look?!? The great thing about this outfit is that once you own a leopard coat, you can literally combine any black pieces that are already in your closet to achieve this look! It can be hard to figure out how to wear skirts in the dead of winter, but I really love pairing them with tights and ankle boots and a longer coat to keep me warm. If you are like me and are pondering whether or not you can pull of a leopard coat, take my advice and give it a try! It really becomes the star of the show, making the rest of your outfit easy to throw together!

Where to Wear:

Date night, Theater, Girl’s night out

Make it Unique:

You can switch out my skirt and tights for a pair of black jeans if you are not sold on the idea of a leather skirt.
